Considering a Vacheron Malte Perpetual Chronograph – seeking collector perspectives

I’ve recently had the chance to spend some time with the Vacheron Constantin Malte Perpetual Calendar Chronograph 47112, and I have to admit it surprised me in person. On paper the watch reads like a dream for someone who appreciates traditional complicat

Vacheron Constantin Malte PC Chrono Pt Ref 47112.

39 x 14 mm platinum case, hinged case back, and superb moonphase. What more to ask for? A thinner case? Yes, but not a dealbreaker for me. Best, Nicolas

A very favorite of mine and often overlooked

Vacheron. Platinum Malte Perpetual Chronograph. Beautiful Lemania movement. Similar to Patek at a fraction of the cost on the secondary market. Love it!

I loved this film. I think people did not

really get below the surface with and expected more of the 80’s Don Johnson and Tubbs vibe. This was far more sophisticated than that and employed subtlety. Here’s some thing you probably didn’t know . . . the watch Sonny (Colin Farrell) wore was a platin

This Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar Chronograph is very beautiful...

but I prefer the previous PT versions: with light grey or anthracite dials. However, it is quite large at 43 mm, clearly too big for me (this is the later version with matching day/month/leap year disc): I can't really pick a winner looking at case/dial/m

I owned the 47112 and not long ago played with the latest.

Between the two my favorite remained the 47112 due to the proportions of the displays which on the later are disproportionately small compared to the dial and case size. Also worth mentioning that the in the metal the current models date is virtually non

Thank you for this very interesting post.

Among the Malte, my favorite is, without hesitation, the 47112: I love the triangular markers and also the Roman XII. And the hunter case back, of course. For me, the 47212 looses some of the attractive character of the 47112 design. And my favorite versi

Thank you for the very instructive post

These watches have many positive features. But they have flaws also. 47212 and Traditionnelle are too big for the movement. And the problem is that it is obvious dial side. On the 47112 it is impossible to read the chrono between 27 and 33, and that seems
